Terms
Terms of service
The agreement between Umapachi LLC and the carrier using TruDOT. Plain language where we can manage it.
Effective September 11, 2026 · Last updated October 18, 2026
1.This agreement
These Terms are a contract between Umapachi LLC (TruDOT) (“TruDOT,” “we,” “us”) and the motor carrier that opens an account (“Customer,” “you”). By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you accept them. If you accept on behalf of a company, you are confirming that you are authorized to bind it.
2.What the service is — and is not
TruDOT is a recordkeeping and reminder system for DOT/FMCSA compliance. It files documents by CFR part, tracks expiration dates, alerts you before deadlines, and exports an audit packet.
Important
TruDOT is not a law firm, a compliance consultant, or a government agency, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FMCSA. Nothing in the service is legal advice. Regulatory compliance — including the accuracy and completeness of your driver qualification files, inspections, testing program and filings — remains your responsibility. Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee, and a missed or undelivered alert does not shift a deadline onto us.
3.Accounts
You are responsible for everything done under your accounts and for keeping credentials confidential. Give us accurate account information, keep it current, and tell us promptly at support@trudot.app if you suspect unauthorized access. Users must be at least 18 and authorized by you. You control which of your people hold which roles, and you must remove access when someone leaves.
4.Trial, fees and cancellation
Plans begin with the free trial stated at sign-up; no card is required to start. After the trial, subscription fees are those on the plan you select, billed in advance and non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Fees exclude taxes. We may change pricing on 30 days’ notice, effective at your next renewal. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period, and export your data before it ends.
5.Your data stays yours
You own the records and documents you put into TruDOT. You grant us only the license needed to host, process, back up, transmit and display them to run the service for you, and to send the alerts you configure. We handle them as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your full file at any time, in the same binder format an auditor would ask for. After termination, you may ask us to delete your data and we will, subject to what we must keep by law.
6.Driver information and text alerts
You decide what driver information goes into TruDOT, and you are responsible for having the right to put it there. Specifically, before you enter a driver’s mobile number or mark them as consenting to text messages, you agree to:
- obtain that driver’s prior express consent, using the disclosure published on our SMS terms & consent page;
- keep a record of that consent — who gave it, when, and how — and give it to us on request;
- never make consent a condition of employment, engagement or any purchase;
- act on withdrawal promptly: if a driver tells you to stop, clear their consent in the app; and
- keep numbers current, so messages do not reach someone who was reassigned the number.
Messages are transactional compliance notices only. You may not use TruDOT to send marketing, and you must comply with the TCPA, CTIA guidelines, carrier requirements and any other law that applies to messaging your drivers. We may suspend messaging for an account that does not.
7.Acceptable use
- No uploading content you have no right to upload, and no using the service to break the law.
- No falsifying compliance records, backdating documents, or presenting a record you know to be inaccurate as genuine.
- No attempting to access another carrier's data, probing or load-testing our systems without written permission, or reverse-engineering the service.
- No reselling or white-labeling the service without our written agreement.
8.Third-party services and data
The service uses third-party providers (hosting, storage, messaging, AI classification, sign-in) and displays information drawn from public FMCSA sources. Public records can be incomplete, delayed or wrong, and third-party services can fail. We present that information as we receive it and do not warrant its accuracy.
9.Our intellectual property
The software, interface, documentation and brand are ours and stay ours. Feedback you send us we may use freely, without obligation to you.
10.Disclaimers
Except as expressly stated here, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will prevent a violation, citation, penalty or out-of-service order.
11.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to your payment obligations, to either party’s indemnity obligations, or to liability the law does not allow us to limit.
12.Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your data, your use of the service, your messaging practices, or your breach of these Terms — including claims by a driver about messages sent at your direction.
13.Suspension and termination
You may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for non-payment, for a material breach of these Terms that is not cured within 10 days of notice, or immediately where use threatens the security or legality of the service. On termination your access ends; your export rights in section 5 survive for 30 days.
14.Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced in the app at least 30 days before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that date means you accept them. If you do not, cancel before the effective date.
15.Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Contact: Umapachi LLC, 11335 NE 122nd Way, Suite 105, Kirkland, WA 98034, United States — support@trudot.app.
